The shape of the all-new K2 Isolator Splitboard pays homage to K2's best-selling Volume Shift™ model, the Excavator, the K2 Isolator Splitboard is an all-gender tool that was built to get you deep into the backcountry…where the good stuff is.
K2 have taken a proven shape, sidecut, and camber profile and made adjustments to bring the Isolator to life. Added the ICG™ 10 carbon-fiberglass hybrid for snap, a lightweight split-specific core, and Karakoram UltraClips™ to ensure that the Isolator rides more like a solid snowboard than any other split on the market.

Volume Shift - K2 has moved volume from the tip and tails of traditional snowboard shapes and placed it underfoot where it can be better controlled. This makes a wider, shorter snowboard design that maintains the same float and stability of a longer snowboard but increases mobility and maneuverability. More slashing and better lines in the tight spots and now a reality.
